Latest
LibreLayer

LibreLayer refreshes its dependency foundations

The October 18 web deployment removes unused development dependencies, pins patched packages, and replaces a vulnerable build dependency while preserving the existing editor.

In this update

  • The browser inference path no longer brings in an unused Node inference backend.
  • Regression coverage checks dynamic imports, paths with spaces, and pattern limits.
  • The recorded dependency audit was clean at release time; that is not a guarantee that the whole application is vulnerability-free.

AvailabilityAlready deployed to the LibreLayer web app on October 18, 2026 in Saskatchewan. This maintenance note is scheduled for October 22 to keep the update calendar readable.

LibreLux

LibreLux makes fine adjustments work from preview to export

The October 19 web update connects previously inactive fine-detail controls to image processing, improves mobile editing and export dialogs, and makes previews and browser navigation more resilient.

In this update

  • Sharpening, noise detail, grading, defringe, texture, and highlight protection feed real pixel processing.
  • Preview workers discard stale edits; full-resolution exports use tiled processing, with tests comparing preview and downloaded image changes.
  • Scale resets to 100%, export dialogs fit smaller viewports, and interrupted model downloads stop when leaving the app.

AvailabilityLive web-app update deployed October 19, 2026. Automated browser-engine and mobile-emulation coverage does not establish physical-device testing or Lightroom/DxO parity.

Asterion

Asterion 0.1.2 remembers your menu-bar choices

The October 20 public beta preserves selected menu-bar apps and hidden/visible intent across app restarts, with retries for apps that appear later and a more consistent settings treatment.

In this update

  • Selections remain saved even when an app is not running; Asterion protects its own menu icon.
  • Settings use consistent glass cards and violet-blue accents, with accessibility fallbacks.
  • Restart checks passed locally; a full macOS logout or reboot was not tested.

AvailabilityPublic GitHub 0.1.2 prerelease for Apple Silicon, tested locally on macOS 27.2. Unsigned installer, locally signed app, not Apple-notarized; corresponding modified source is available.

Good Backup

Good Backup adds saved-key access and guided installers

Released October 19, Mac 0.1.8 and Windows 0.1.5 let you view the encryption key already saved on your computer and add Good Tools-branded installation packages.

In this update

  • View Saved Key helps you keep a recovery copy without changing the vault key.
  • Mac offers an installer package and app ZIP; Windows offers a setup wizard and portable ZIP.
  • Existing settings and vault keys are preserved. Windows remains an early beta requiring real-device backup and restore testing.

AvailabilityPublic GitHub beta: Mac 0.1.8 and Windows 0.1.5, released October 19, 2026. Installers are unsigned; the Mac app is locally signed but not notarized. Linux was not updated by this release.

FlowNode

FlowNode 0.2.56 makes live campaign progress visible

Campaign canvases highlight the latest sent email and what comes next, with clickable status links and a next-step wait countdown.

In this update

  • Latest sent, Sending, and Up next badges identify the corresponding email nodes.
  • Wait progress recognizes Amazon SES delays and monthly allowance holds.
  • Activity highlights are not stored in campaign designs; updating does not restart campaigns or change their schedules or sending provider.

AvailabilityPublic beta for Apple Silicon Mac and Windows x64, with Good Tools-branded installers and a portable Windows ZIP. Mac is not notarized; Windows still needs a real-PC trial.

GoodTV Launcher

GoodTV 1.0.16 brings seasonal backgrounds and a screensaver shortcut

The offline Snoopy collection grows to 65 clips, with automatic Canadian-style seasonal availability and double-Back access to the background-only screensaver.

In this update

  • Everyday clips stay year-round; seasonal and holiday scenes unlock using the local device date, not live weather.
  • Double-press Back on the main launcher screen to enter the screensaver, without changing Back in settings or other apps.
  • The existing paused preload and 0.8-second crossfade remain; videos play through to their transition at the end.

AvailabilityPublic signed 1.0.16 APK for Android 7 or newer. About 567 MB download plus 523 MB extracted media storage; existing users should select Snoopy once after updating.

GoodTV Launcher

GoodTV 1.0.15 keeps video backgrounds playing smoothly

A built-in offline video collection, end-timed crossfades, and an opt-in Keep awake control join the public Android TV and Fire TV release.

In this update

  • Includes 18 Snoopy clips for wallpaper and the background-only idle screensaver, shuffled without repeats until the set ends.
  • Switching backgrounds crossfade over 0.8 seconds; playlist videos reach their ending while the next clip preloads paused.
  • Keep awake while GoodTV is open lives in System → Screensaver Settings and does not change device-wide sleep timers.

AvailabilityPublic signed GitHub 1.0.15 APK for Android 7 or newer; universal and ARM-specific downloads. Not an app-store approval.

Good Backup

Good Backup protects the existing vault key when you reconnect

Mac 0.1.7 reuses its saved encryption key even if the Connection field has not finished loading. Windows 0.1.2 adds a field for an existing key. Both prevent a different key from silently replacing the one already saved for the vault.

In this update

  • A fresh Nextcloud device sign-in is not a second Nextcloud account and does not change the backup encryption key.
  • When reconnecting to an existing backup, enter the original recovery key if this device no longer has it saved.
  • The Mac build is locally signed; the Windows package passed local tests but still needs a full test on a Windows PC.

AvailabilityPublic GitHub beta for Apple Silicon Mac 0.1.7 and Windows x64 0.1.2; Linux remains at 0.1.0.

Good Backup

Good Backup handles routine system-file skips on Mac and Windows

Mac 0.1.6 and Windows 0.1.1 exclude known OS-managed locations. A saved snapshot with only those narrowly identified system-file errors can finish successfully; unreadable personal files still make the backup incomplete.

In this update

  • Mac skips macOS document-version stores and transient Dia favicons; Windows skips volume metadata, recycle bins, and paging files.
  • Only a saved snapshot with exclusively recognized system-managed read errors counts as complete. Other skipped files still need attention.
  • Windows removes a restic option unsupported on that platform. The Windows package has passed local tests but still needs a backup-and-restore test on a Windows PC.

AvailabilityThis was a public GitHub beta milestone. The current Good Backup release is Mac 0.1.7 and Windows 0.1.2; Linux remains at 0.1.0.

Good Backup

Good Backup 0.1.4 adds a safer way to stop a Mac backup

The Apple Silicon beta adds a confirmed Cancel Backup action for running manual or scheduled jobs and keeps long health errors inside the Activity window. Windows and Linux remain at 0.1.0.

In this update

  • Cancel Backup appears during a running job in Activity and the menu bar; it asks before requesting a graceful stop.
  • Long health errors now show a concise status and a Details button instead of overflowing the window.
  • This release does not automatically remove a stale repository lock. Keep another backup until a complete backup and restore are verified.

AvailabilityPublic GitHub 0.1.4 prerelease for Apple Silicon Mac; Windows and Linux remain on 0.1.0 beta.

Asterion

Asterion 0.1.1 opens a fuller Mac utility beta

Asterion’s public Apple Silicon beta adds folder and archive browsing, Finder Quick Look, and refinements to its mirrored Dock and settings. The 0.1.1 installer and corresponding source were released October 14.

In this update

  • Browse folders and archives with thumbnails, search, and sorting; preview supported items through a Finder Quick Look extension.
  • Batch Rename controls fit within settings, and mirrored Dock spacing, Liquid Glass, and Reduce Transparency behavior have been refined.
  • The public GitHub prerelease includes the unsigned Mac installer and corresponding modified GPL source. The app is not notarized and self-updates remain disabled.

AvailabilityPublic GitHub 0.1.1 prerelease for Apple Silicon Macs; tested locally on macOS 27.2.

Tumblr Community Reblogger

Tumblr Community Reblogger tests a safer Chromium batch flow

A local Chromium 1.5.10 test package was built October 11. It improves compatibility with Tumblr’s destination picker and makes interrupted background batches clearer. This build is not a public download.

In this update

  • The packaged files match the current local Chromium source, including the 1.5.10 manifest.
  • The source waits for Tumblr’s destination selector, accepts Community labels, and avoids starting a duplicate batch when a worker response is uncertain.
  • The popup shows stopped batches, destination errors, and refreshed progress; browser testing and a public release are still pending.

AvailabilityLocal Chromium test build only. The public GitHub Chromium download remains 1.5.7; Firefox remains 1.5.6.

GoodCast

GoodCast’s Fire TV receiver adds an update path

The Fire TV receiver is now at 0.1.2 with a Check for updates control and a signed release package. Mac and Windows senders remain at beta 0.1.0.

In this update

  • The receiver reads Good Tools update metadata and checks the downloaded APK’s checksum, package identity, version, and signature before asking Fire TV to install it.
  • The current 0.1.2 APK and matching update metadata are publicly hosted on Good Tools.
  • People who installed the original debug-signed receiver need a one-time reinstall because its signature differs from the signed release line.

AvailabilitySite-hosted GoodCast Fire TV receiver 0.1.2; Mac and Windows senders remain 0.1.0.

GoodCast

GoodCast opens its first screen-to-TV beta

GoodCast pairs a Mac or Windows sender with a Fire TV receiver for local-network screen sharing. The first installers and receiver were built October 4–5; the Windows installer is also on a public GitHub beta release.

In this update

  • The Mac sender and Fire TV receiver are downloadable from Good Tools; the Windows x64 sender is available from the official GitHub prerelease.
  • A remote-friendly receiver can discover GoodCast computers on the local network, with manual connection options.
  • This is an early beta: audio capabilities vary by platform, protected video may not share, and an end-to-end reliability claim has not been established.

AvailabilityPublic beta 0.1.0: site-hosted Mac and Fire TV packages; Windows x64 installer on GitHub.

GoodTV Launcher

GoodTV 1.0.12 improves docks, updates, and Fire TV settings

The latest public APK adds easier dock management, enables Check for updates, and provides a Fire TV system-settings shortcut that is protected from Home-button redirection.

In this update

  • Docks scroll after five apps, and long-press controls make it easier to manage dock contents.
  • Check for updates is visible inside the launcher; a dedicated shortcut opens Fire TV system settings.
  • The 1.0.12 universal APK is on the official GitHub release. The source changelog and packaged APK agree on the version.

AvailabilityPublic GitHub 1.0.12 APK for Android TV and Fire TV; released October 5 in Saskatchewan (October 6 UTC).

PagePeace

PagePeace 1.1.0 is available on GitHub

The open-source content blocker has new Firefox and Chromium packages. The Chromium edition updates its Manifest V3 filtering engine and protection bundle; browser-store availability is separate from this GitHub release.

In this update

  • The Chromium MV3 package and Firefox MV2 package both identify themselves as version 1.1.0.
  • The Chromium update brings newer upstream filtering, stronger default rules, and improvements to cosmetic filtering and custom-filter handling.
  • The public release was posted October 3 in Saskatchewan (October 4 UTC). Store approval has not been verified.

AvailabilityPublic GitHub release with manual-install packages; browser-store publication is not confirmed.

Good Backup

Good Backup opens its early Nextcloud beta

The first public packages cover Apple Silicon Mac, Windows x64, and Linux x64. Mac beta 0.1.2 adds clearer incomplete-backup reporting; Windows and Linux remain at 0.1.0 and need device testing.

In this update

  • Encrypted, compressed snapshots go to a separate vault for each computer in your chosen Nextcloud folder.
  • Mac 0.1.2 reports skipped macOS-managed files without hiding unreadable personal files, and keeps the details in Activity.
  • Keep another backup: a complete backup-and-restore cycle has not yet been verified for this beta.

AvailabilityPublic GitHub beta packages; Mac 0.1.2 and Windows/Linux 0.1.0.

Pluck

Pluck 0.1.6 fixes Empty Trash on Mac

The Mac beta now empties recognized Trash locations directly with Full Disk Access instead of depending on Finder Automation. This is a Mac-only fix; Windows stays on 0.1.3.

In this update

  • Protected items inside recognized Trash locations can request administrator approval when needed.
  • The 0.1.5 Mac icon and protected-app uninstall improvements are included.
  • The cleanup engine passed targeted smoke tests; download the 0.1.6 Mac installer from the official release.

AvailabilityPublic Mac 0.1.6 release; Windows remains 0.1.3.

MiniBar

MiniBar 0.4.3 installer is on Good Tools

The Apple Silicon beta has a newer 0.4.3 installer on its Good Tools page. It is separate from the first 0.4.2 GitHub release, and interaction testing is still in progress.

In this update

  • The 0.4.3 package was built September 29 for macOS 27 or newer.
  • The site-hosted installer is downloadable, but there is no separate verified 0.4.3 GitHub release.
  • Accessibility permission and real hide/show and rearranging behaviour should be checked on the target Mac before relying on it.

AvailabilitySite-hosted, unsigned Mac 0.4.3 beta installer; Apple Silicon and macOS 27 or newer.

FlowNode

FlowNode 0.2.54 brings Good Tools-branded installers

The current desktop beta is now packaged as Good Tools-branded installers for Apple Silicon Macs and 64-bit Windows, with a portable Windows option and matching update metadata.

In this update

  • The official 0.2.54 GitHub release includes the branded Mac DMG and Windows installer, plus standard FlowNode packages.
  • Mac and Windows update manifests point to matching 0.2.54 packages; in-app update reliability still needs an installed-version test.
  • These remain unsigned beta builds, so first-time installation may prompt an operating-system warning.

AvailabilityPublic 0.2.54 beta downloads for Apple Silicon Mac and 64-bit Windows.

SiteProof

SiteProof opens an early website-review beta

SiteProof was built and deployed September 25. It lets a team share an unlisted static-site preview and leave comments pinned to the page being reviewed.

In this update

  • Reviewers can move through a multi-page preview and double-click to place a comment in context.
  • An owner can share the review link, reopen previews, and manage comments from the review workspace.
  • This is an early beta: the current hosting upload limit blocks larger ZIP files, so it is not yet suitable for production-size website previews.

AvailabilityBrowser beta at siteproof.goodtools.ca; small test sites only while the ZIP upload limit is being resolved.

TubeyRoll

TubeyRoll beta adds an in-app update feed

The Android TV and Fire TV beta 32.47-tubeyroll.28 was released September 24 with a feed for future beta updates. Install this version manually once to enable it.

In this update

  • The public GitHub prerelease includes the v2465 debug-signed APK.
  • The beta update manifest points to this build and supplies its version and notes.
  • The on-device update flow has not yet been verified on a physical Fire TV.

AvailabilityPublic GitHub beta download; not a store release.

CATch

CATch 1.0.2 is available for Chromium and Firefox

The new browser image collector has public packages for Chrome and Edge, and for Firefox, with tab-scoped collection and a ZIP export of selected originals.

In this update

  • Find rendered, responsive, lazy-loaded, background, and preview images from a chosen tab.
  • Use grid or list views and file-type filters before exporting up to 1,000 originals in one ZIP.
  • The GitHub packages are public; a Firefox store submission is not the same as store approval.

AvailabilityVersion 1.0.2 is downloadable from the official GitHub release.

MailTabs

MailTabs improves sending and background sorting

September 24 source changes pace background sorting within Gmail limits and make failed sends easier to recover from. The browser app has since been deployed.

In this update

  • A failed send keeps the draft in the composer instead of discarding the work.
  • Background sorting is paced against Gmail request limits.
  • Recipient lookup combines saved contacts with people already in the mailbox.

AvailabilityBrowser app deployed at mailtabs.goodtools.ca; this does not indicate Google OAuth approval.

GifGrab

GifGrab 0.3.8 keeps difficult collections moving

The desktop release improves collection counts, organizes originals and conversions, and prevents one stalled GIF conversion from blocking the rest of the queue.

In this update

  • Conversions time out after three minutes without output or 20 minutes total, and the failed item can be retried.
  • Timestamped collection folders separate Originals and GIFs.
  • Public installers are available for Apple-silicon Macs, Intel Macs, and 64-bit Windows.

AvailabilityVersion 0.3.8 is public on GitHub.

Pluck

Pluck 0.1.2 refreshes installed apps

The Mac and Windows beta now refreshes the installed-app list while it is visible, without throwing away the user’s selection.

In this update

  • A manual Refresh control is available on both platforms.
  • Stable Windows app IDs and cached Mac app sizes reduce list flicker and repeated work.
  • The official release includes Apple-silicon Mac and 64-bit Windows installers.

AvailabilityVersion 0.1.2 is public on GitHub; installers remain unsigned beta builds.

Tumblr Community Reblogger

Chromium browsers get clearer extension icons

Version 1.5.7 fixes toolbar, notification, and extension icons that some Chromium browsers, including Brave, could not decode reliably.

In this update

  • The Chromium package now uses PNG icons at the standard 16, 32, 48, and 128 pixel sizes.
  • The fix was built and released on GitHub on September 20; the reblog workflow itself is unchanged.
  • Firefox and Zen continue to use the separate 1.5.6 package. Browser-store versions may follow their own review timing.

AvailabilityChromium 1.5.7 is downloadable from the official GitHub release. The Firefox package remains 1.5.6.

LibreLayer

LibreLayer 0.6 True Color beta is live

The browser editor now keeps high-depth colour and professional document information through more of the editing workflow, including RGB, CMYK, Lab, grayscale, and spot-colour work.

In this update

  • Native 16-bit and 32-bit channel data supports deeper colour work without treating the display preview as the document itself.
  • ICC profiles, local colour conversion, proofing, and expanded PSD handling make complex files more faithful and inspectable.
  • The beta was built on September 19 and deployed to the LibreLayer browser app. Real Photoshop round-trip labs and professional review are still pending.

AvailabilityLibreLayer 0.6.0-beta.1 is live at librelayer.goodtools.ca. It remains a beta for demanding professional workflows.

DrivePack

DrivePack can stop a job cleanly

A September 19 Mac beta build improves cancellation while DrivePack downloads selected files and prepares a ZIP, so a stopped job does not keep producing progress or a partial result.

In this update

  • Cancellation is checked during parallel downloads and archive creation, then closes the active output.
  • The interface reports Cancelling and Cancelled while keeping the user’s selections available.
  • The fix has a local Mac installer and cancellation test; public availability has not been confirmed.

AvailabilityLocal beta build only. DrivePack is not a public download while unrestricted Google Drive sign-in remains pending approval.

RARity

RARity 0.1.6 beta adds Smart Compress

New Mac and Windows beta packages were built on September 19 with native file-manager actions, a Smart Compress choice, and extraction when an archive is opened with RARity.

In this update

  • Finder and Windows menu work brings common archive actions closer to the selected files.
  • Smart Compress samples the input within a bounded workload to choose an appropriate format.
  • The 0.1.6 installers exist locally; the latest confirmed public GitHub release is still 0.1.4.

AvailabilityBuilt for internal beta review. Public downloads continue to offer RARity 0.1.4 until 0.1.6 is released.

Pluck

Pluck 0.1.1 improves Windows app removal

The September 19 public release handles more Windows installer types and quoted uninstall commands, making single-app and multi-app removal more dependable.

In this update

  • Installer-aware plans cover MSI, Inno Setup, NSIS, Squirrel, MSIX, and direct EXE uninstallers.
  • Quoted commands, timeouts, fallback behavior, and post-run checks make failures easier to detect.
  • The Windows 0.1.1 installer is published on the official MadeByGoodTools GitHub release.

AvailabilityPluck 0.1.1 for Windows is publicly available. The Mac beta remains available separately.

MailTabs

MailTabs makes the first Gmail connection steadier

The live browser app now requests narrower Google permissions and can recover the first inbox page when a new sign-in runs into a Gmail batch-loading limit.

In this update

  • Google connection requests were narrowed to what the MailTabs workflow uses.
  • A new account can fall back to a smaller first inbox page if its initial batch fails.
  • Both source changes were completed September 19 and the matching Site version was deployed September 20.

AvailabilityLive in the MailTabs browser app at mailtabs.goodtools.ca.

Tumblr Community Reblogger

One Community now works too

Tumblr Community Reblogger 1.5.6 now starts a confirmed reblog when one Community is selected, while keeping the same multi-Community progress, retries, and destination checks.

In this update

  • A batch can now contain one Community or many; the reblog button is disabled only when nothing is selected.
  • Confirmation text and instructions adapt cleanly to singular and plural Community selections.
  • Firefox and Zen share the XPI package, while Brave, Chrome, Edge, Opera, Vivaldi, Arc, and other compatible Chromium browsers use the ZIP package.

AvailabilityVersion 1.5.6 is available from the official GitHub release. Firefox Add-ons and Chrome Web Store updates are being submitted from the same validated packages.

RARity

RARity moves into the Windows 11 right-click menu

The refreshed RARity 0.1.4 Windows beta adds a native first-level File Explorer menu, using the compact diamond mark for quick archive actions without opening the full app first.

In this update

  • RARity can appear directly in Windows 11’s modern right-click menu for supported files and folders.
  • The native menu package uses the dedicated Good Tools RARity Beta certificate, which the installer checks before registration.
  • The new Windows installer was built on September 15 and published on September 17; the Mac 0.1.4 package is unchanged.

AvailabilityThe refreshed 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 installer is available from the RARity product page. The main installer remains unsigned and may show an unknown-publisher warning.

LibreLux

LibreLux opens up its workflow and sharpens Smart Masks

LibreLux adds ten portable, inspectable workflow capabilities, upgrades its on-device Smart Masks, and refines the library interface around albums, colour, and scrolling.

In this update

  • Encrypted catalog transfer, signed profile packages, reproducible edit recipes, LibreLayer round trips, plug-ins, portable catalogs, and catalog health reports expand the open workflow.
  • Smart Masks now load more reliably and keep subject-aware work local through browser-based WebGPU or WASM processing.
  • Album controls, LibreLux colour accents, and scrollbars were refined so the deeper workspace remains easier to navigate.

AvailabilityThe source is current on GitHub and the improvements are live in the LibreLux browser app.

Nicely

Nicely 1.0.3 waits for restored sessions

Nicely now waits for visible browser activity before opening the day’s note, preventing a restored Chromium session from hiding or interrupting its small daily moment.

In this update

  • The daily note responds when a browser window gains focus or a tab becomes active, after session restoration has had time to settle.
  • Nicely records the day only after its note tab opens successfully, so a failed attempt does not incorrectly silence the extension until tomorrow.
  • The one-note-per-day rule and local-only storage remain unchanged.

AvailabilityVersion 1.0.3 is built for Chromium and its source is on GitHub. The latest public GitHub download remains 1.0.2 while the new package awaits release.

FlowNode

FlowNode 0.2.53 is ready for Mac and Windows

FlowNode’s public beta now has current Apple-silicon Mac, Windows installer, and portable Windows packages, alongside a corrected app identity and safer packaged dependencies.

In this update

  • The in-app header now uses the official FlowNode application icon.
  • The packaged dependency tree removes the reported js-yaml security advisory.
  • Windows users can choose the installer or a portable ZIP, while Apple-silicon Mac users can use the DMG.

AvailabilityVersion 0.2.53 is publicly released on GitHub and linked from the Good Tools FlowNode page. The beta packages are unsigned.

  • Selected text can carry color or a safe web link through drafts, templates, duplication, and publishing.
  • The release includes automatic update support and uses the live MadeByGoodTools Tumblr authorization callback.

AvailabilityDesktop release 0.8.9 for Windows x64 and Intel or Apple-silicon Macs.

RARity

RARity 0.1.4 strengthens the archive engines

RARity now uses the official RARLAB UnRAR source build for RAR extraction, creates ZIP and 7z archives with its bundled engine, and can find an independently installed RAR creation engine on Windows.

In this update

  • Official UnRAR support handles RAR extraction while preserving RARLAB’s licensing boundary.
  • ZIP and 7z creation work through the archive engine included with RARity, without requiring a separate utility.
  • Optional compressed RAR creation appears when RARity finds an official licensed rar command-line engine, including through the Windows PATH.

AvailabilityVersion 0.1.4 is available for Apple-silicon Macs and 64-bit Windows 10 or 11. Both installers are unsigned.

Nicely

Nicely 1.0.2 notices when the day begins

Nicely now checks the first meaningful browser activity of each local day, making its once-daily note more dependable when Chromium keeps running after every window is closed.

In this update

  • The daily check now responds to browser startup, a normal window opening or gaining focus, and a tab being created or activated.
  • A single local-day check keeps Nicely from opening duplicate notes when several browser events happen together.
  • The extension still stores its daily state and saved notes locally, with no account, advertising, analytics, or tracking.

AvailabilityVersion 1.0.2 packages are available from GitHub for Chromium and Firefox. The Firefox Add-ons listing may update on its own review schedule.

Good Tools

A clearer look at the apps

Product pages now pair each app logo with a real interface view. GifGrab shows an active download queue, MailTabs shows its compact message workspace, and FlowNode opens on a connected campaign.

In this update

  • Every existing app page now begins with its oversized product mark, then rotates to a view of the real app.
  • GifGrab’s preview includes sample items in its queue, so the workflow is understandable before downloading.
  • MailTabs now uses its current name and compact composer, while FlowNode’s workspace includes connected nodes.

AvailabilityLive across the Good Tools product pages.

  • The editor opens common image formats alongside PSD and PSB files, and can save an editable LibreLayer project for later.
  • Projects are processed on the device instead of being uploaded to a mandatory editing server.

The beta is open to testers

Qu for Meta is accepting beta testers for its visual desktop workspace for preparing, previewing, scheduling, and publishing connected Facebook and Instagram posts.

  • Beta 1.6.0 supports Feed posts and native Reels, with an optional Story destination in the same publishing run.
  • Media, captions, crops, filters, previews, destinations, and scheduling stay together in a visual queue.
  • Partial retries preserve successful destinations so a retry does not intentionally repost work that already succeeded.

AvailabilityTester invitation required. Unsigned Mac and Windows beta installers are available.

  • Colour, masking, retouching, lens correction, denoise, film looks, and grain remain adjustable before they are applied.
  • Original photos remain untouched while catalogues, edits, preferences, and optional AI processing stay on the device.

AvailabilityLive, free, open-source browser app at librelux.goodtools.ca.

Pluck

Public beta for Mac and Windows

Pluck is available on both platforms for clean app removal and careful recovery of safe cache, log, temporary, and purgeable storage.

In this update

  • Choose an installed app, review the related files Pluck identifies, and remove the complete selection through one clear action.
  • The Reclaim view separates free and purgeable space from concrete cache, log, development, and temporary files.
  • Pluck stays in the Mac menu bar or Windows taskbar until it is needed, with all cleanup selections visible before removal.

AvailabilityPublic beta 0.1.0 for Apple-silicon Macs and 64-bit Windows 10 or 11. Installers are unsigned.

Unjunk

A more private way to clean Gmail

Unjunk took shape as a compact Gmail cleanup app that groups repeat senders using selected metadata instead of requesting or retaining message subjects, bodies, or snippets.

In this update

  • Authenticated unsubscribe signals are separated from questionable or unavailable links.
  • Archive, Gmail Trash, and exact-sender blocking remain visible, user-initiated actions.
  • A sample inbox lets people understand the workflow before connecting their own Gmail account.

AvailabilityLive browser app at unjunk.goodtools.ca. Google restricted-scope review was still pending at this milestone.

PrismLab

Still photos start moving

PrismLab joined Good Tools as a browser effects studio for turning photos into seamless mirrored, prismatic, watery, static, melting, and distorted GIF loops.

In this update

  • Photos can be uploaded, dropped into the editor, or opened from a direct image link.
  • Ten effects expose their own motion, speed, detail, colour, texture, direction, and position controls.
  • The crop and animation preview remain interactive before the finished loop is exported as a GIF.

AvailabilityLive browser app at prismlab.goodtools.ca.

GifGrab

GifGrab reaches the browser stores

The GifGrab Collector became available through both the Chrome Web Store and Firefox Add-ons, with the Good Tools product page linking directly to the approved listings.

In this update

  • The lightweight collector recognizes animation sources that ordinary image downloaders can miss and sends them to the desktop queue.
  • Canonical page addresses and resolved media sources are checked to reduce duplicate downloads.
  • The desktop queue keeps progress, retries, pause and resume controls, original files, and optional local GIF conversion together.

AvailabilityApproved Chrome and Firefox extensions, with Mac and Windows desktop downloads on the product page.

Nicely

Nicely 1.0.1 is ready

Nicely’s calm daily-note experience was refined and packaged for Firefox and Chromium browsers, including reliable once-per-day behaviour when a browser restores an earlier window.

In this update

  • One time-aware encouragement appears on the first browser opening of each local calendar day.
  • Soft clouds, changing colours, sparkles, and a small mascot add gentle motion with reduced-motion support.
  • Saved notes and daily state remain in browser storage with no account, advertising, analytics, or tracking.

AvailabilityVersion 1.0.1 is available on Firefox and GitHub; Chromium can be installed manually from the release package.

RARity

RARity enters public beta

The first public preview arrived with a Windows installer and an Apple-silicon macOS beta package. Both downloads were clearly marked as unsigned beta software.

In this update

DrivePack

Folders stay folders

DrivePack’s first packaged build could combine Google Drive selections and local files while preserving folder names, nested paths, and empty folders inside one ZIP.

  • Google Workspace files have practical export mappings, including Docs to DOCX, Sheets to XLSX, Slides to PPTX, and Drawings to PDF.

One confirmation for several Communities

The browser-specific Tumblr Community Reblogger packages were validated with multi-select destinations, one batch confirmation, visible progress, retries, and destination safety checks.

In this update

  • Several joined Communities can be selected from Tumblr’s familiar destination picker.
  • The complete batch is reviewed once, then native reblog composers are submitted sequentially.
  • The extension checks the intended Community twice and refuses to post if Tumblr falls back to the home blog.

In this update

  • The canvas supports optional snap-to-grid behaviour while still allowing free placement.
  • Validation, controlled tests, preview fingerprints, and explicit confirmation protect live campaign launches.

AvailabilityOpen desktop beta. Google branding was approved while broader OAuth data access remained under review at this milestone.

ClearFrame

ClearFrame handles the whole batch

ClearFrame’s browser-local photo cleanup workflow expanded to large batches, HEIC and HEIF input, reviewable OCR and watermark detection, and resilient multi-part ZIP export.

  • URL and watermark text can be detected with OCR and image geometry, including rotated corner regions.
  • Every detected region remains visible for review, with manual marking available for anything detection misses.
