Unjunk

A more private way to clean Gmail

Unjunk took shape as a compact Gmail cleanup app that groups repeat senders using selected metadata instead of requesting or retaining message subjects, bodies, or snippets.

Unjunk was built around a conservative idea: inbox cleanup should need as little email content as possible, and every change should remain understandable before Gmail is altered.

01

Metadata instead of message content

Unjunk groups recurring senders using sender identity, category, authentication, frequency, and unsubscribe headers. It does not request or retain message subjects, bodies, or snippets for its cleanup view.

A provider boundary keeps Gmail access separate from classification and the sample inbox, leaving room for another provider without mixing provider credentials into the core cleanup logic.

02

Safer unsubscribe choices

Authenticated and aligned List-Unsubscribe information, including supported one-click behaviour, is treated differently from an untrusted link placed inside a message. Questionable or unavailable unsubscribe options are not presented as equally safe.

People can keep, ignore, archive, move old mail to Gmail Trash, or block an exact sender. Blocking does not permanently delete existing messages.

03

Review before action

Cleanup actions remain user initiated and visible before they change Gmail. The sample inbox provides a complete walkthrough without requiring an account connection first.
