DrivePack’s September 19 Mac beta build addresses what happens when someone cancels a large packaging job. A cancelled job should stop downloading, stop building the ZIP, and leave the selection available for another attempt.
Stopping the active job
Cancellation is checked while parallel downloads are running and again during archive creation. The active archive and output are closed instead of letting a cancelled task continue in the background or appear to complete.
The interface reports Cancelling while work drains and Cancelled once it has stopped. The selected files remain in place so the user can adjust the batch and retry.
What was verified
The local cancellation test exercises the faster parallel download path and checks that workers settle without sending stale progress after cancellation. A new Mac installer package was built on September 19 from this work.
These source changes are still uncommitted in the local DrivePack project. The build is evidence of a beta milestone, not evidence of a published release.
Availability
DrivePack’s public page continues to describe its Google Drive approval boundary. Reliable unrestricted public Google sign-in has not been confirmed, and this cancellation build is not offered as a public download.
