GifGrab reaches the browser stores

The GifGrab Collector became available through both the Chrome Web Store and Firefox Add-ons, with the Good Tools product page linking directly to the approved listings.

AvailabilityApproved Chrome and Firefox extensions, with Mac and Windows desktop downloads on the product page.

GifGrab’s browser collectors reached the official Chrome and Firefox extension stores, completing the connection between browsing and the organized desktop download queue.

01

Finding modern animations

Many sites present a static thumbnail first and load the full animated file only on a detail page or after scrolling. The collector looks for the underlying animated WebP, GIF, MP4, WebM, AVIF, and related media sources that a normal image download action can miss.

02

Large, durable queues

Collected items move into a local desktop queue with progress, retries, pause, resume, and clear results. The queue persists so a large collection does not have to start over after an interruption.

GifGrab checks both canonical page addresses and resolved media sources to reduce duplicate downloads. Collision-safe filenames protect separate items that happen to have similar names.

03

Originals and conversion

Original downloads are kept separately. Compatible animated WebP and video files can be converted to GIF locally with the converter included in the desktop app, without sending the media to a conversion service.
