RARity 0.1.6 Mac and Windows beta packages were built on September 19. This milestone brings more work into Finder and Windows file menus and makes opening an archive with RARity lead directly into extraction.
Smart Compress near the files
Finder and Windows native menu work makes Smart Compress available from the selected files. The format choice uses bounded sampling, so deciding how to compress a large selection does not require an unbounded preliminary scan.
The Mac integration also handles Finder open-document events. On Windows, archives opened through Open With can enter the extraction flow rather than merely launching an empty application.
Built beta packages
The 0.1.6 version appears in the Mac and Windows packaging definitions, and September 19 installer packages exist for Apple-silicon Macs and 64-bit Windows.
The packages establish a build milestone. They do not establish that every native-menu path has been exercised on a user’s machine or that the release has been published.
Public release status
The latest confirmed MadeByGoodTools GitHub release remains RARity 0.1.4. The Good Tools product page should continue to direct visitors to its existing public download until the newer beta is released.
