GoodTV Launcher moved from 1.0.9 to the public 1.0.12 release through three updates on October 5, 2026 in Saskatchewan (the final GitHub release is dated October 6 UTC). This October 7 note groups those closely related improvements rather than presenting each build as a separate major announcement.
More manageable docks
Version 1.0.10 makes docks with six or more apps scroll horizontally while keeping consistent card spacing. Long-press All Apps to reach dock settings, or long-press an app to add or remove it from a dock. If several docks exist, GoodTV offers a dock picker.
These controls build on the existing remote-first layout and make larger app collections easier to organize without turning every dock into a crowded row.
Updates and Fire TV settings
Version 1.0.11 enables Check for updates in locally built public releases. Version 1.0.12 adds a dedicated Fire TV system-settings shortcut and protects the transition from GoodTV’s Home-button redirection, so opening Settings does not immediately bounce back to the launcher.
The release notes report that the settings shortcut opened the full system-settings screen and Check for updates was visible on a Fire TV. That verifies those specific interactions, not every update installation path on every device.
Which package is current
The Good Tools product page now links to the official 1.0.12 universal APK on GitHub. The local pubspec and changelog identify version 1.0.12, and the locally built universal APK matches the SHA-256 digest of the public GitHub asset.
Separate arm64-v8a and armeabi-v7a APKs are also attached to that release for people who need a device-specific package. This is a GitHub release, not an app-store approval.
