Tumblr Community Reblogger tests a safer Chromium batch flow

A local Chromium 1.5.10 test package was built October 11. It improves compatibility with Tumblr’s destination picker and makes interrupted background batches clearer. This build is not a public download.

A Chromium 1.5.10 test ZIP for Tumblr Community Reblogger was built locally on October 11, 2026. This October 14 development note records verified source and package changes, not a new public release or browser-store approval.

01

More tolerant Tumblr destination handling

The Chromium content script now recognizes a Community destination selector as well as Blog and Destination labels. It waits for the selector to appear after switching Communities and checks its visible text and accessibility label against the expected destination.

The earlier 1.5.8 changelog also records compatibility work for tumblr.com alongside www.tumblr.com and newer Community-picker roles. These changes are in the local Chromium package, but the complete workflow has not yet been confirmed across browsers.

02

Safer background batches and clearer status

If the background worker response is lost, the extension now asks the person to inspect the latest batch instead of starting a second batch in the original tab. An already-running worker rejects a duplicate item. Probe calls are guarded so overlapping checks do not pile up.

The popup refreshes batch progress, identifies a stopped batch, and shows per-destination errors. A failed worker acceptance and an unexpectedly closed worker tab now leave more specific failure information.

03

Build and availability

The October 11 ZIP contains a Chromium manifest reporting version 1.5.10. Its manifest, background, content, popup script, and popup style match the local source, and the JavaScript syntax checks pass.

These files are local, with uncommitted source changes. The official GitHub release channel still offers Chromium 1.5.7; Firefox and Zen remain on their separate 1.5.6 package. The Good Tools product page continues to link those public versions, not this test ZIP.
