Cirrow 0.1.0 is the first Good Tools desktop clock beta, available for Apple Silicon Mac with an early Windows x64 preview. The clock lives behind everyday app windows, with its controls in the Mac menu bar or Windows tray.
Choose your clock
Seven designs cover Flip, Dial, Digital, Minimal, Dot Matrix, Glass and Sculpted. Adjust size, position, colors, opacity, date and seconds, and choose from curated system and installed typefaces. A separate settings window shows a live preview.
The Mac edition uses native Liquid Glass on macOS 26 and newer, with a material fallback on older supported Macs. Windows uses its own glass visual treatment and Windows font fallbacks. Stopwatch and countdown have independent windows.
Weather with a sense of place
Allow location access and Cirrow refreshes Open-Meteo current conditions every five minutes. Animated sun, clouds, rain, snow, fog and storms surround the clock, while text-based faces pick up rain beads, frost and changing light. Live changes crossfade; manual scenes let you preview the effects.
Coordinates are rounded before weather lookup. Windows tries device location first, then clearly labelled approximate IP location if needed. Disabling weather stops location and weather requests. Conditions are periodically refreshed model data, rather than a real-time sensor or radar feed.
Downloads and preview limits
The native Mac app requires Apple Silicon and macOS 14 or newer. It is locally signed and not notarized. The Windows x64 portable executable is unsigned.
Native Mac rendering, settings changes and a location/weather fetch were checked locally. Windows packaging and automated host, renderer and weather checks passed; Explorer desktop attachment, dragging, display scaling and location permissions still need a physical PC trial. If desktop attachment cannot be verified, the Windows clock stays hidden and settings report the issue.
