Friendly controls, full protection underneath

PagePeace’s Firefox and Chromium editions were prepared and submitted with approachable Easy Mode choices, the complete expert tools each browser supports, and honest Manifest V3 limits.

AvailabilitySubmitted to the browser stores on August 15; Chrome was pending review and Firefox was awaiting review at this milestone.

PagePeace brought the proven uBlock filtering foundation into a friendlier Good Tools experience, keeping advanced controls available while making everyday protection easier to understand.

01

Easy and Expert modes

Easy Mode uses plain-language protection choices, clear status, per-site pause and protect controls, and a Site broken? recovery path. Expert Mode keeps deeper filter lists, rules, logging, and element tools available for people who need them.

Customization presets adjust both the visual treatment and how much information the popup shows without removing the underlying protection engine.

02

Different browsers, honest limits

The Firefox edition keeps the full upstream filtering engine, including the logger, element picker, dynamic filtering, privacy protections, and custom rules.

The Chromium Manifest V3 edition uses browser-native rulesets and exposes Standard, Strong, and Maximum choices. It does not claim to reproduce every capability of the classic Firefox engine.

03

Open-source foundation

PagePeace is a clearly branded GPLv3 fork of uBlock Origin and retains upstream attribution. The purpose is to improve approachability without presenting a reduced prototype as the complete engine.
