MiniBar 0.4.3 installer is on Good Tools

The Apple Silicon beta has a newer 0.4.3 installer on its Good Tools page. It is separate from the first 0.4.2 GitHub release, and interaction testing is still in progress.

AvailabilitySite-hosted, unsigned Mac 0.4.3 beta installer; Apple Silicon and macOS 27 or newer.

MiniBar’s first public 0.4.2 Mac beta reached GitHub on September 29 UTC (September 28 in Saskatchewan). A 0.4.3 Apple Silicon package was built September 29 and is now downloadable from the Good Tools product page. This September 30 note distinguishes the site-hosted package from a separately published GitHub release.

01

What MiniBar is meant to do

MiniBar is a compact macOS 27-or-newer menu-bar organizer. Its controls are designed to discover running menu-bar items, keep chosen ones visible, tuck others away, change their order, and reveal or hide the saved selection with a customizable shortcut. It also offers launch at login.

The app relies on macOS Accessibility permission for menu-bar item discovery and control. A permission switch alone is not proof that a fresh build can actually manipulate those items; the behaviour must be checked on the Mac where it will run.

02

Where to get the current package

The Good Tools page hosts the 0.4.3 Apple Silicon installer. The local package reports version 0.4.3 and macOS 27.0 as its minimum system version, and the public download returns the package.

The separately verified GitHub release remains 0.4.2. Do not read the site-hosted 0.4.3 download as a second GitHub release or as evidence of store approval. The 0.4.3 installer has no package signature.

03

Beta validation still needed

The next meaningful checks are the first-click panel, Accessibility registration after installation, real hide/show, live rearranging, persistence after sign-out, and launch at login. A successful build or installer download does not establish those interactions on every Mac.
