SiteProof was built and deployed as a browser beta on September 25, 2026. This entry is posted September 26 so it does not share a publication date with another major update. It is a new Good Tools workspace for reviewing static websites with feedback attached to the relevant page and position.
Preview a site together
The current beta accepts a ZIP of static HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and assets, creates an unlisted review link, and serves linked pages within a responsive preview. The owner receives a separate edit link for managing the preview.
Reviewers can follow the site navigation, switch device widths, and return to a review from the same browser. A shared link is unlisted, but it should not be treated as a substitute for access control for confidential material.
Comments in context
Double-clicking the preview starts a comment at that position. Comments are saved against the current page and document position, so a note about one page does not appear as though it belongs to another.
The review panel lists comments for the visible page. Reviewers can open a pin to read its note; the owner can remove individual comments or the entire preview.
What is available today
The source changes and SiteProof beta deployment are dated September 25. The live browser address is siteproof.goodtools.ca, and the Good Tools catalogue links to it.
The current hosting path has a low request-size limit that rejects larger ZIP uploads. The interface currently advertises a higher size than the hosting path can actually accept. Small test sites can be tried, but larger client or production websites should wait until this limit is corrected and reverified. This is not a desktop download or a general-availability release.
