Five calmer places for email

MailTabs settled on five understandable inbox spaces—Needs Me, People, Work, Money, and Updates—while keeping the familiar Gmail workspace visible and connected.

MailTabs organized Gmail around the kinds of attention a message needs instead of adding another complicated mailbox system. The five main tabs became the stable centre of the product.

01

Five tabs with a purpose

Needs Me separates messages that appear to require action. People keeps human conversations together, Work holds ongoing professional activity, Money covers payments and financial messages, and Updates provides a home for reference information and routine notices.

Drafts, Sent, Spam, Trash, and ordinary Gmail labels remain available as secondary navigation instead of competing with the five daily spaces.

02

Familiar email, calmer shape

Classic inbox sizing became the default for new users, while stored preferences still win for returning users. Reading, writing, search, Gmail labels, pinned mail, bulk actions, pagination, and signatures stay inside the workspace.

People can teach recurring sender or subject patterns where they belong and rescan the inbox with that updated rule, without requiring every message to be physically moved on the provider.

03

Clear first connection

Before a person connects Google for the first time, a compact welcome panel explains the step while keeping the real MailTabs interface visible behind it. The product is shown rather than replaced by a generic onboarding screen.
