GifGrab · Privacy
Your collection stays on your computer.
GifGrab does not send browsing activity, website content, downloaded media, or queue information to Good Tools, advertisers, or analytics services.
User-requested page access
When you press a collect button, the browser extension reads the active page’s address, animation links, image descriptions, and media sources. It uses this information only to identify the animations you asked GifGrab to collect.
Local desktop connection
The collector sends the discovered page addresses, titles, media sources, and conversion choice to the GifGrab desktop app through a local connection on your own computer. This information does not pass through a Good Tools server.
Downloads and local storage
The desktop app contacts the original website or its media host to resolve and download each requested file. The queue, duplicate history, original files, and optional GIF conversions remain on your computer until you remove them.
What is not collected
GifGrab does not use accounts, analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, remote code, or telemetry. Good Tools does not receive or sell your browsing activity, website content, downloads, identifiers, or personal information.
Your choices
GifGrab runs only when you use its collector controls. You can clear the local queue and history in the desktop app, delete downloaded files, or remove the extension and app at any time.
